I’m a software developer and have been in the industry for 20+years. By day, I’m a Java J2EE developer, developing websites for my employer’s clients. By night, I’m learning Scala and Lift. Have to keep the skills sharp after all.

I’ve been using DVCS for the last year, and as I predominantly develop using Windows, I prefer Mercurial. I think the learning curve is shallower, and TortoiseHG v2.0 is way better than any of the tools available for Git. Also, now that Atlassian has acquired BitBucket, I can have private repos for my side projects without charge.
